PalmIt.com Evolving

PalmIT.com is changing or maybe a better word for it is evolving, I’m not sure. I’ve recently made the decision to “switch”, no reference to Apple’s marketing campaign intended, from the Palm OS to the Microsoft Pocket PC platform. In fact, Apple would most likely be disappointed by this news. However, the outcome of my “switch” to the Pocket PC platform is yet to be determined and questionable.

The decision wasn’t easy for me. I went back and forth between Palm’s Tungsten T and several different Pocket PC devices for days; weeks even, until I finally succumbed to Microsoft’s marketing, beautiful color screens, and 802.11b wireless networking. I clicked Add to Shopping Cart on Amazon.com and the rest is bits and history. I’m about to become the proud owner of a Toshiba E740 Pocket PC.

The rest of the story remains to be told. My Toshiba is on a plane somewhere out there on it’s way to a new home in the Pacific Northwest and the warm palm of a curious and perhaps ashamed tech/geek/gadget enthusiast.

So check back again, but wait until 2003, I might have something to say about my “switch” to the Pocket PC platform.
